Sneeuwtoetje

 

Buiten ligt een dik pak sneeuw en ik ben al helemaal in kerststemming.  Vandaag hebben we een kerstboom gekocht en straks ga ik beginnen met het versieren. Zodra hij klaar is zal ik hier vast wat foto's gaan posten. Maar eerst wil ik een recept met jullie delen. Gisteren heb ik namelijk mijn favoriet wintertoetje gemaakt: Een meringue slagroom dessert. Het is heel makkelijk te bereiden, maar super lekker en zoals je op de foto kunt zien lijkt het een beetje op ingesneeuwd fruit. Vind je niet?

//There's a lot of snow outside and I am certainly in mood for christmas now. Today we bought our christmas tree and I will start decorating it tonight. I might post some pictures here when it is ready. But first I wanted to share a litlle recipe with you. Because yesterday I made my favorite winter dessert: fruit with whipped cream and meringue cookies. It's really easy to prepare, but super delishious and as you can see in the picture it looks a little bit like snowbound fruit. Don't you think?//

//Ingredients: 2 x 250ml whipping cream, 1 package of vanilla sugar, 400 gr frozen fruit, 200 gr meringue cookies
1. Whip the cream with the vailla sugar 2. Crumble the meringue cookkies 3.Now fill a big bowl, working in layers: meringue crumbles, whipped cream, fruit, meringue crumbles, whipped cream fruit...4. Place the bowl in the fridge and wait until the fruit is defrosted. Enjoy! //

Marsepein- kaneelrollen

 

Ik hou van luie zondagen met taart en gebakjes. Maar helaas ontbreekt in ons nieuw appartement (nog) een oven. Als ik nieuwe nieuwe recepten ontdek waarvoor een oven nodig is, worden ze daarom gebookmarked en bewaard totdat we eindelijk een oven hebben. Dit weekend ben ik echter op bezoek bij mijn ouders en kon ik een van de recepten uitproberen: Marsepein- kaneelrollen. Het recept vond ik een tijdje terug op de Duitse blog iGNANT (een van mijn favoriete blogs, dus vooral even checken). Klik hier voor het recept (in het Engels). Geen exotische ingrediënten en makkelijk te bereiden. Geniet van jullie zondag!

//I love lazy sundays with pies and pastries. Unfortunately there's no oven in our new appartment yet. So if I find new recipes I will bookmark them and wait until we finally get an oven. This weekend however, I visited my parents, so i could try one new recipe: marzipan cinnamon rolls.
